Calpe enjoys a unique microclimate thanks to the shelter of the Peñón de Ifach (332 m tall), which acts as a natural windbreak. It records 320 sunny days, 70% average humidity and milder temperatures than the rest of the Costa Blanca. Even so, that same environment creates aggressive conditions for low-quality joinery:

  • Very high salinity on the front line: sea spray from the prevailing easterly wind attacks standard hardware and lacquers. You need QUALIMARINE 80 µm coating and class-5 surface-treated hardware.
  • Intense UV 320 days a year: Chinese PVC turns yellow and brittle within 5-7 years. German Kömmerling (class S, Ca-Zn stabilisers) keeps colour and rigidity 40+ years.
  • Large panes vibrate with rising drafts: the Venturi effect of the Peñón creates updrafts that move monolithic glass. We replace with 6/16/6 tempered climalit with argon.
  • Oblique autumn rain: the gota fría hits seafront homes with horizontal salt water. Every window is fitted with double EPDM gaskets and an anti-rain drainage bottom seal.

I have a front-line villa in Canuta de Ifach: which coating withstands salinity?+

On the front line salinity is category C5-M, the most aggressive. We recommend Cortizo aluminium with QUALIMARINE 80 µm coating (not the standard 60 µm), class-5 Roto NX surface-treated hardware and external glazing beads fixed with A4 stainless-steel screws. 15-year warranty on coating.

Which HS slider do you install for large openings with Peñón views?+

For panoramic views of the Peñón de Ifach or the bay we install Cortizo HS 200 lift-and-slide (up to 6.5 m opening per leaf, 400 kg/leaf) or COR Vision (frameless, minimal sightlines, maximum view). 6+6.4 tempered safety glass is mandatory by height.

I am German and live in Calpe 6 months a year: do you speak German?+

Yes. Klaus, our international project coordinator, is a native German speaker and also speaks English and Spanish. We send you a bilingual quote (DE+ES) and the contract is signed in both languages. All communication during the job is in German if you prefer.

Can you process the grant paperwork?+

Yes. We deliver: itemised invoice broken down by section, before/after energy certificate if needed, installer's declaration, data sheets for every product and CE marking. With that you have everything for NextGen IDAE, the income-tax deduction, the Generalitat grant and the Calpe IBI rebate.

How does payment work? Do you accept international transfers?+

We accept bank transfer (including international SEPA from Germany, the Netherlands, the UK), card and Bizum. Usual schedule: 50% on signing and 50% on installation completion (not before). For large premium-villa jobs we can split into 3 milestones.

What about my old windows?+

We dismantle them, remove them and take them to an authorised recycling point in Calpe / Benissa. Removal cost is included in the quote — it never shows up as an "extra" at the end. If your community needs a waste-management certificate, we provide one.
